Many paths lead to Bergheim: The long-distance St. James' Way and Arnoweg trails, as well as the path taking you past the stations of the cross, all bring you ultimately to Maria Plain pilgrimage church. 
Here atop the Plainberg, visitors are treated to fantastic views out across Salzburg City, the Untersberg, the Göll Massif, the Tennengebirge and, further out to the west, the mountains of Chiemgau. In the last 300 years, many have come here - for the widest variety of reasons - in order to return to their true inner self.
